Last week was rather hectic x.x Was rushing book illustration, and writing a story for creative writing. And the book illustration assignment was a huge investment luh! For that i bought watercolour pencils, $15, spray mount (to stick the pages), $15, printing on harder paper, $12+, print wrong have to reprint, $++.

Click each image to view each page clearly. If you're lazy to click one by one and don't mind the images being smaller, click here to view a slideshow of the pages of my book.

But anyway, the book was quite successful after a failed attempt :) I handed in late so 50% of the marks gone x.x Many friends were impressed though :D Heh.
I handed in the creative assignment late too =/

Last night i showed my mum the book i made.
(in cantonese)
Me: See, i made this book.
Mum: (didn't hear properly) Huh? When did you buy this book?
Me: No luh! I MADE it myself!
Mum: O.O omg how did you make it?!
Me: That was what i've been painting about luh.
Mum: Ohh, WOWWW SO NICEEE! Very nice! My baby so clever!
Me: (happy only) ;D

An awesome piece of news: I GOT INTO PROGRAMMER :DDD
They called me the night before the date of release of results, was like hopping around ;D Then i told Shaun and waited for him to tell me good news too. But he didn't get the call the whole night, and the next day, and was depressed. I was sian also. He gave up hope at night, and then suddenly got informed that he got in, at 12.40am! Whoooooots :D Scare us only.

So we'll have programmer meetings every friday till next year FO. Met Shaun and Nianqi on friday before going for the meeting at 7.30, and played pool while waiting. Thanks for the TP badges!

During the programmers meeting, realised 1/3 of us are from rinku! :D But i think they separate us purposely for the planning of station games :( We gotta discuss and plan the games, and send in the drafts by wed. =/

Rushed to causeway point to celebrate laogong/laopo's birthday. Clique and Ed were eating sakae buffet before i arrived. I'm so sorry i could only make it sooo late :( By the time i reached, it was around 10pm already and the shopping mall was closing. Luckily Breadtalk was still open, so i bought the cake and surprised her outside the mall. We sat outside and celebrated, had fun :)
Happy birthday laogong/laopo! Love you ♥ :D

The only module i'm taking now is Marketing for Designers, boring subject. For the first half hour of the lecturer's intro talk, my eyes were struggling to stay open @.@ And, the lecturer's a woman who's about 50 years old. I don't like her. She isn't the motherly kind, she's more like a step mother =/ She's so strict too, not like the younger, more casual more lenient lecturers that teach design/art stuff. Maybe because this subject is more business-like.
Timetable now's 3pm-6pm everyday, only one module = more relaxing. Can wake up later too :DDDDDDDDD But i can't wait to get this module over and done with.

Mum's going germany for a week tmr which means home alone again. I'm worried about cockroaches x.x

Hello! :D Been busy with assignments. Here's one, packaging design. I did on Meiji Milk Chocolate.

Now for applied illustration, we're to illustrate a book of at least 8 pages. Gotta complete by next wed, and I'M FREEEEEE :D

Testing colours.

For creative writing, i've been enjoying it as usual :) Now we're covering plot structure, stories. Once, we're to interview a partner, and ask questions about what happens in the partner's dreams. The partner is to come up with any random funny absurd stuffs, so it was really fun :D Then Paul randomly selected a few to read out the partner's dreams, and we laughed much as usual. Same for another exercise too, when a group of us were given random characters, places, situations, and had to create a story with those.
Once, Paul let us watch a movie, The Usual Suspects :D For us to analyze the plot structure. Then another day Paul brought books of re-written fairytales. Like how the big bad wolf was actually an innocent wolf who just wanted to borrow sugar from the 3 pig neighbours, and he had a bad flu so he kept sneezing and sneezed their houses down. He let us read some Just-so stories too.

These exercises were meant to show us how to do our next assignment, which is to write a fairytale with a twist in the story.

Optical fibre i think.

Oh and on monday, i wore a bright neon yellow jacket to school, which sparked much controversy LOL. I bought it online and thought it was lime green, didn't expect it to be more to the yellow side. And, i wore it to school because i thought it wasn't so bright, since it looked okay at home that morning. =/ Attracted a lot of attention in school lol. But it's okay in design school. Didn't wanna take off cause it was really colddd. But at least Shaun and Yongzheng and maybe Amber said it was nice ;D Anyway, i don't wanna wear it out anymore! So paiseh. Pictures of it:

Went for FO(freshmen orientation camp)'s programmer interview with Shaun on wed. We really hope we'll get in. I was scared to go for interview at first, but i thought to myself: FO's the most happening event in TP, so much fun, i should give it ago. If i get in it'll be awesome, if i can't at least i've tried and have no regrets. Anyway a programmer is to plan and execute games during the next FO for the freshies. I'm not super interested in planning games but i'd love to be in the camp because it's just so fun.

Saw a longgg rainbow that morning :D It sort of gave me hope about getting into FO.

Click to read the comic i drew :) I can't draw humans for nuts. Got my inspiration from the day i went for the iCool event. While going home, i thought it was weird to bring my balloon up the bus. So i went mushroom and released the balloon, and watched it fly up to the sky :D It's a really nice feeling.

Went to watch Waves 14 dance concert at SP on friday with darl, laogong/laopo and ed, to support dearie! The performance was awesome :D All your hardwork had paid off dearie! Poor thing having to rehearse till 10pm like everyday, and getting so many bruises all over! D: Rest well after this kay! Well done girl :)

After that, went back northpoint to eat. Only agreed to eat at Xin Wang Hong Kong Kitchen because it was already 11+pm, it opens 24hrs, we were hungry, and laogong/laopo didn't wanna eat mac =/ I ate there before and the food sucked. This time i was giving it a second chance. The teh peng was not bad. BUT THE FOOD SUCKED LIKE @#$@*&^%. Ordered ham & egg spaghetti. Spaghetti bolognese sauce too sweet. Ham like taken from some tin can. Egg's a sunny-side up, not very nice. Best thing on the plate was the piece of raw cucumber. So we all agreed that the signature dish in Xin Wang is cucumber LOL. I finished most of it though, don't wanna waste and hungry. And the sucky meal cost around $13! Sucky food for such a price, wthell. Amazingly, that restaurant always seem to have good business, i seriously wonder why.

Anyway we still had a great time making fun of the restaurant and talking about Hui Ci (the one on jacky gogogo who always goes "ohmyGOD~~!" LMAO. Kept imitating her ;D

Recently, the weather has been cold, i like! Cause can wear jackets and scarves :D
& btw Shi ting bought one of the NUM bags from me! :D Thanks girl! Now i've $100 more to spend :D

Design canteen's barley drink is love.

Shaun showed me this video of Super Junior imitating SNSD's Gee. DAMN HILARIOUS TTM!

This is the original mv, i think the dance is really nice.

New song by SHE. The mv's quite touching :)

Oh and, MY BLOG IS 4 YEARS OLD ALREADY! :D

The week before school reopened was spent mainly with clique hanging out at my house. One day it was just darl, we watched S factor and watched Cloudy with the Chance of Meatballs. The movie was okay, not too bad not too good. At first i thought the title meant the movie was about a guy called cloudy who's associated with meatballs. Then after watching the movie, i realised the guy wasn't called cloudy and the main thing wasn't about meatballs. So i suppose the title was about the weather in the movie.

Another day, clique came to my house to slack around, and ordered kfc for dinner. Was great, cause we hadn't had a gathering for damn long already :D

School has reopened! Sian x 100. For this block, i've 2 modules, creative writing 9am-12pm, and applied illustration 12pm-3pm. The lecturers are kind enough to let us have some time for lunch in between. I don't like going to school in the morning peak hour =/ But my timetable's considered not bad already, many people have night classes now, like 6pm-9pm D: Lucky the next few blocks start at 12 or 3 and ends at 6, my favourite timings :D

Creative writing's a cds(cross disciplinary subject), among a few other subjects we get to choose from like jap, italian, public speaking, internet research etc, that the whole TP takes. Creative writing is my second choice, first is jap. Didn't get jap cause i chose it late :( Nvm i'll get to choose again next semester, i'm gonna stay by my comp till the starting time of the selection and choose jap at the first minute i swear!
Anyway, this module is like having english/literature lesson, i like :D The lecturer Paul's an australian, he's quite nice and humorous.

The other module i'm taking is Applied illustration, where we have to design stuffs like editorial illustration, packaging design, book illustration etc. On the second day of class, the we had an excursion at the Singapore Art Museum. :D

My work was really slipshod =/
Nearly died during submission day:
went upstairs to scan picture, went back class to continue work, realise the quality of jpg format isn't as good as tif, went upstairs again to scan again but thumbdrive had problem duno why no space, went back class to delete everything in thumbdrive, went up again to try putting in, still no space, went back class to borrow classmate's thumbdrive, went up again, finally done, go back to class to continue work.
THEN, when printing at the print shop, realise forgot to save in pdf format, walked back to class to convert, walked to print shop, saw a yellow line on my picture probably due to corruption, walked back to class to ask classmates whether they know how to solve the probem, they told me to try test print on A4, walked to printshop to test print and the yellow line was still there, walked back to class to change the pic, walked to printshop and realised not enough money, walked to atm to withdraw, walked to print shop to FINALLY PRINT THE DAMN THING OUT.
THEN, realised need to save soft copies in cd which i forgot to bring, so walked to bookshop to buy cd, saved, went upstairs to hand in everything, went back to class, realise there's something more i haven't handed in, went up again, then finally it's done. Sucks.

Today during creative writing, were we asked to read out a script based on a very singlish conversation of some singaporean aunties selling kueh. The characters' names were like tua soh, li soh, sah soh etc lol. Paul asked us to read it out as singlish as possible, hilarious! The funnier thing was, we had to write a monologue of a character in that script in singlish, then some classmates who were asked to read theirs out included much hokkien swear words, had a great laugh ;D

Paul dismissed us early for us to go for the iCool launch, went with dsc people. iCool's a thermometer created by engine and design school, and given to all TP students free. Check it out at this website http://icooltempbadge.tp.edu.sg/
Met Shaun there and we exchanged books. He lent me The Time Traveler's Wife :D
Watched performance and dance was awesome. Had mass dance, balloons, free ice cream :D

Randoms:
- I've just finished reading this book:

In my opinion, i think it's quite interesting but not awesome cause it lacked in explanations, esp for why those people would go to that place and why sandy was there.

- I'm interested in being a programmer for FO/& TPRAWKS! Anyone going for the interview too?

- I've reopened my blogshop, do check it out! http://instocksgalore.blogspot.com/

- Am recently in love with old chang kee curry puff.

- While doing some research for assignment, i came across this cute site http://learnsomethingeveryday.co.uk/
Everyday it'll have a new fact with the drawing. There's humor in some :D

Whack-a-kitty! It's cute ttm :D

Here's a video of birds of paradise doing their dance rituals, funny lol.

HK day 3
Took the ferry to Ma Wan Island to visit Noah's Ark. Mum had a long chat with 2 ahmas and they told us lots about HK, places to go and stuff. They're both retired and touring the country, enjoy only!

Ma Wan Island is a really pretty and relaxing place, somewhere nicer than the cities. There's new buildings, parks and attractions to tour.
Christians or those who know about christian stories would know about Noah's Ark. I'm free-thinker, but i know a lot about christian stories, so shall give a summary of the story:

It's about this guy called Noah who was asked by god to build an ark(huge ship). Because during that time, all the people were too sinful and unrepentant, so god wanted to flood the whole world to destroy them. Only Noah and his family were not sinful (like lol) so he built the ark for his family, and a pair of every species of animals (then what about the rest of the animals? i highly doubt they're sinful? lol) boarded it. Then god sent the flood, while those in the ark were safe. After the flood had ended, all those in the ark came out and continued life on earth. (so does it mean we're descendants of noah's family? lol)

Anyway, the inside of the place was full of exhibitions and has some interactive stuff to educate us about noah's ark and saving the earth. There's 3D mini shows too. (mum loves those HAHA) Didn't take photos of the inside though.

Headed to Avenue Of Stars to see see and watch the Symphony of Lights performance, where different buildings would emit light to the music, so it's like the lights dancing to the music. But it's not that awesome luh, the lights at Shanghai are much nicer.
At Avenue of Stars, there's the statue of Bruce Lee and movie-related stuff but i didn't explore. And on the whole stretch of the ground, there are hardened clay(or plaster) of handprints of film celebrities with their names on it. (refer to next photo)
Went causeway bay again to eat and shop.

HK day 4
Went Ocean Park :D The place was so mounatinous that it was like hiking and climbing mountains exploring the place =/ Darn tiring esp with the super sunny weather. Ocean Park features marine creatures, and since it's halloween they have halloween-related stuffs too.

Love this pic :D Pretty bird.

I liked this dragon so much! But it's not for sale DDDDD:

Went back hotel to rest, then mum's cousin brought us to her home for dinner with her son Bruno(my cousin, same birth date as me), her mum who's 90+ years old, and Francky. Her mum's quite poor thing eh, she can't even rmb her family members most of the time. And after we greeted her, she'll keep asking again who we are etc.
Dinner was nice, chatted, they asked me and bruno to play the piano, chat while eating mooncakes :)

HK day 5
Went to bai4 bai4 (can't think of the word, is it pray? offer inscense?) ancestors, mum's cousin followed. It's my first time doing such a thing, and the thing i disliked about it was after that I REEKED OF INSCENSE so much omg. Sprayed lots of perfume after that, lol.

Then ate and shopped at Mongkok. A group of girls asked me where i got my bag from, made me so happy HAHA. Mum was like: "Not bad eh, people asked where you bought your bag, means it was a great buy."

These pearls, when you bite them, they'll burst and a sweet liquid will ooze out, nicey :D

At night, went airport and flew back to S'pore. End of HK trip. :)
Oh ya, and Francky looks like 张敬轩! Lol.

Last week went ktv @ bedok with Peiqi. Sang from 2pm-7pm and the total was only $5 per person! With one free drink some more. So cheap right! Has the latest songs and all. We both knew the same songs so yup, sang our hearts out xD

Yesterday, since dearie and i were craving for pepper lunch, so went amk to eat :D
Walked around and chatted before going back to northpoint. Dearie darl and ed were gonna watch Phobia 2, horror which i don't watch, but they forced me to D: So i watched with them and covered my eyes at most of the scary parts. There're 5 stories in the movie, and i really like the last one, damn hilarious i swear!

- I realise that blogger somehow lowers the quality of photos that i upload, esp those of people inside, wthell =/ Screw blogger!

- My latest record: sleep from 4am-6.30pm, 14hrs!

- I'm still selling the NUM bags and skullcandy headphone!

- Bought this:
Chio right :D

Got this from Disneyland :D

I really like this song lately.
